After starting to write about my journey to get CCIE certified on Evernote, I thought it would be good to write a blog.
I thought that this would be good for several reasons:
- It will give other people thinking of following the same path insight in to my journey
- It will reinforce my knowledge of the topics I’m learning
- It will provide somewhere for other like-minded network engineers to practice with labs in the labs section
- It will also give me something to look back on years ahead.
So I decided to get a website together and start blogging. First challenge was to come up with a site name and reserve the domain name.
I came up with a few ideas but one thing always stuck with me when thinking about networking and that is the metaphorical ‘bit bucket’ – The place that packets go to die.
Several iterations of the domain were already taken but I managed to come up with one that was available, so reserved it and here we are.
Hopefully I will be updating this site regularly in between studying, working and other things.
